[Japan] Scarce booklet published to promote The Grand Exhibition of Japan in 1912 that never ended up being held due to huge financial and logistical strains. When Emperor Meiji passed away in July 1912 and with shifting economic priorities, the exposition was ultimately postponed and then cancelled. The fair was intended to boost international trade, encourage cultural exchange, and promote Japanese products. This copy was presented by the Japanese Consul-General in London and contains a newspaper clipping dated April, 1908 about the proposed exhibition as well as a 2-paged typed document listing regulations about the exhibition.
