Large Format Photo of the Japanese Parliament Interior Albumen print photo
[Japan] Scarce, large format photo of what appears to be the House of Representatives inside the Japanese Diet (parliament) building. The first building was built at the end of 1890 but was destroyed by an electrical fire just a couple of months later in January 1891. This photo is of the interior of the second building which was completed in 1891 and lasted until 1925 when it too was destroyed by fire.
