Crape Paper Book Mt. Head by Koji Yamamura
[Japan] Crape [sic] Paper Book - Mt. Head (Atamayama) by Koji Yamamura. This is by far the most recent crepe paper book ever published. The process to make crepe paper is very labour intensive and there are basically no craftspeople left who can crepe the paper as required. The last books on crepe paper to be woodblock printed were calendars published by Hasegawa Takejiro's descendants in the 1960s. This book, published by S.B.B. Co. Ltd, was more a challenging work of love and was published in this very limited edition of 200 books. Comes with the original promotional flyer and in its original decorative folding case.
