[Japan] [China] Scarce work on the English involvement in the Taiping Rebellion and the aftermath of the Namamugi Incident in Japan where Charles Lenox Richardson was murdered and the Anglo-Satsuma War that resulted. Rennie was senior medical officer of the force in the north of China; Late surgeon to Her Majesty's legation, and to the legation of His Majesty the Emperor of the French at Peking.
