Woodblock Print from the Play, Momijigari Limited edition by Ota Masamitsu
[Japan] An impressive woodblock print showing Onoe Baiko VI in a scene from the kabuki play Momijigari. Apparently from an edition of 150 prints and this one is numbered 132. They were marked 'Not for sale' so presumably were given to subscribers. Undated, but Yamada Shoten in Tokyo gives 1945 as the year of publication.

In good condition. The print is untrimmed and image itself is very good. The margins have some age wear and toning. Comes with original paper folder with colophon although the folder is smaller than the print. Perhaps the folder was included for a trimmed print. Folder with age wear and some creasing. u38032035
