[Japan] This is the third of three Japanese fairy tales in Danish published by Kobunsha for Ernst Bojesens in Copenhagen, Denmark. The story was translated by Agnes Berner and believed to have been published in 1887 or 1888. It is hard to imagine that Kobunsha/Hasegawa received a large order for any books in Danish and that theory would be supported by how infrequently they appear on the market.
