Styles of Taking Food by Tsujiko Kumataro

[Japan] Very scarce work with only a couple of copies found at institutions in Japan. The book is woodblock printed and contains 12 illustrations showing the various ways food is served,  presented, or eaten depending on one's social status ranging from the Emperor, Shinto priests, and wealthy people to typical families of the upper and lower classes as well as drunken men. The book appears to have been cheaply produced as the illustrations are not high quality, nor is the paper used. This is probably the reason there are so few copies anywhere.

13 leaves. 13 x 10cm.
