The Russo-Japanese War Very scarce, large format, crepe paper book

[Japan] An Account of the Russo-Japanese Conflict With 6 full-page colored illustrations in Wood,

specially designed by Koto Okura. Printed in original Japanese Crepe Papers [sic]. The author is listed as Nishitani (or Nishiya) Otomatsu. This is the largest known crepe paper book and is one of two known variants but both with the same colophon date of September, 1904. This version has the cover title and text on title page in red, the other version in black. Also, the cover illustration of this version is of the 'Heroic death of Commander T. Hirose in execution of the brilliant mission to block Port Arthur', whereas the cover illustration in the other version shows, 'The Japanese Torpedo boat destroyers attacking the Russian warships in Port Arthur.' That illustration is not present in our variant but one of the illustrations in our book is not present in the other variant ('Japanese bluejackets attempting to block the harbour entrance of Port Arthur'). Both variants appear to be very scarce and each have six woodblock printed illustrations on single-sided crepe paper.
