Small to Medium Format Photo of Tokyo View from Atagoyama Attributed to Michael Moser
[Japan] A similar photo to this appeared in landscape format in the January 17, 1871 issue of The Far East. Presumably, the man with the topknot is an official who's job was to protect and also keep an eye on the photographer and entourage.
