Large Format Photo of Ryounkaku in Asakusa Hand-coloured albumen print
[Japan] Impressive photo showing the famous Ryounkaku in Asakusa that was built in 1890 based on a design by William K. Burton. This particular photo makes the building look slightly tilted. The building was damaged beyond repair in the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake and was demolished soon after. c1892.
