[Japan] Early, woodblock printed map of the Tsukiji area of Tokyo showing the small foreign enclave that was established there in 1868 as well as the recently built and short-lived Tsukiji Hotel that burned down in 1872. The foreign area shows the location of 22 lots numbered in Japanaese and Roman numerals from 1 to 22. Titled in Japanese, 'Tokyo, Tsukiji, Teppozu Iryuchi Ezu'. The artwork was by Yamada Yosai aka Utagawa Kuniteru II (1803-74).

In very good to fine condition. Map itself is fine with original title slip present. Original paper sleeve very good with minor age wear and a few marks. u37101966b
