Large Format Photo of Kiyomizudera Temple, Kyoto Hand-coloured albumen print by Kusakabe Kimbei
[Japan] Very nice, hand-coloured albumen print photo showing the famous temple Kiyomizu-dera which looks much the same today (minus the gazillion tourists!). This is a less common view and also shows one of the lower paths to the temple. Presumably taken in spring when the cherry blossoms were in bloom. Titled at lower right in negative, '1313. Kiyomidzu Temple Kioto'.
