Noh Kyogen Woodblock Print Book with 55 large illustrations by Nomura Bunkyo
[Japan] Large format book with 55 colour woodblock prints of scenes from Noh and Kyogen plays by Nomura Bunkyo (1854-1911). This appears to be 11 groups of five woodblock prints as the first 11 leaves are each numbered in order from one to eleven and with 5 prints listed on each contents page. Presumably this was a series done in installments and then bound together by a proud owner. Previous owner's name and 1924 date inscribed on final blank page.
