Illustrations of Japanese Life Finest pair in about fine original folding case
[Japan] Lovely pair of books in their original, decorative folding case containing a total of 98 photos printed and published on crepe paper by Ogawa Kazumasa. Text by Takashima Suteta. This is the finest pair we have seen with both volumes having there decorative, silk spine coverings completely intact. Even the folding case is in unsually fine condition. Both volumes are first editions.

One volume is 23.9 x 18.1cm with 28 photos and the other is 18.1 x 2.9cm with 70 photos.
Both fine condition. Thicker volume has minor ripple down upper and lower edges. Otherwise fine. Folding case fine with toggles present but only lacking paper loops for toggles to be inserted into. b37081932
