The Mastery System Applied to the Japanese Language by Samuel Robbins Brown
[Japan] Prendergast's Mastery System, adapted to the study of Japanese or English by S.R. Brown, D.D. There appears to have been an edition published in 1875 by F.R. Wetmore. It seems that Wetmore didn't publish or sell books after around 1877 so he may have left Japan or passed away. That would explain why this 1878 edition was published by Kelly & Co. of Yokohama.
