[Japan] The elusive 1st edition of Batchelor's seminal work. John Batchelor (1855-1944) lived with the Ainu in Hokkaido for 64 years until reluctantly leaving in 1941 due to the outbreak of WWII. A second edition wasn't published until 1906.
