Cabinet Card of Henry Scott taken in Yokohama by Tamotsu Enami
[Japan] Cabinet card photograph of Harry T. Scott, coxswain of the USS Oregon. The ship was a battleship of the United States navy that served on the Asiatic Station from around 1900-1906. No doubt coxswain Scott had his portrait taken in Yokohama whilst on shore leave to send to someone back home. Tamotsu Enami (aka Nobukuni) was born in Tokyo in 1859 and studied photgrapher under Ogawa Kazumasa. Enami became a popular photographer and his son took over the studio when Enami died in 1929.
