Kimono Ballades Some cheerful rhymes for loafing times
[Japan] Uncommon work by Charles Coleman Stoddard (1876-1961). The book contains a single leaf inserted at the beginning stating that this is a special presentation edition limited to 150 copies and signed by Stoddard. The covers appear to be of Japanese silk but that fact and the title are the only connection to Japan. The ballads themselves don't make any references to Japan. Only one copy in Japan at the National Diet Library.
New York. Calkins and Company. 1908.
pp.87[1] (though pages only printed on one side). 19.2 x 11.9cm.
In very good condition. Minor wear, slight darkening and faint spotting to silk covers. Internally very good. Most pages are folded at leading edge, Japanese-style and blank pages are counted in the pagination. b37021808
