Large Format Photo of Ashinoyu Hakone with the Matsuzakaya Hotel visible
[Japan] Wonderful, hand-coloured albumen print photo showing part of the hot spring town of Ashinoyu near Hakone with the signboards of the Matsuzakaya Hotel visible. The Matsuzakaya Hotel was founded in 1662 and is still operating as a hotel. There is a Japanese man standing to left of centre, a dog in the middle and possibly a Western man standing right of centre. Titled, 'A89 ASHINOYU HAKONE' at lower left in negative.
