[Japan] This is the first woodblock printed, hanging calendar by Hasegawa Takejiro we have seen that was commissioned by Bunkio Matsuki, the Salem, Massachusetts based art importer. Occasionally, these hanging, pagoda calendars by Hasegawa appear on the market, but this is also the earliest one we have ever found.
