[Japan] We believe this is a photo of Richard Henry Brunton (1841-1901), so called 'Father of Japanese lighthouses', who lived in Japan from 1868-1876. By comparing this image to other known photos of Brunton, there is a strong case to be made for our conclusion. Photos of Brunton taken whilst in Japan appear to be almost non-existent.
