Cabinet Card of Louis Gouilloud taken by Adolfo Farsari in Yokohama
[Japan] A very nice cabinet card photograph of Frenchman Louis Gouilloud. According to the Meiji Portraits website, 'He settled as a silk merchant in Yokohama in 1889 and worked in this business until 1906. In 1907 he was employed by Herbert Dent & Co., Silk and Tea Inspector and Merchant, Yokohama # 183. In 1911 he is no longer listed in Japan.' Inscribed in French on rear, dated and signed by Gouilloud.
