Kawataro - Japanese Fairy Tale Woodblock printed orihon from an obscure series
[Japan] Very uncommon book from an educational series published by Matsuki Heikichi of Tokyo. At rear there is a list of other Japanese fairy tales and some other books published by the same company. A 'kawataro' is also known as a 'kappa' and the story appears to be one of a lady who turns into a kappa and scares off her husband. Silk covers and bound accordion style (orihon). Text in Japanese.
