CDV of Japanese Tycoon Troupe of Acrobats Taken in Adelaide, Australia
[Japan] Four young Japanese members of the Tycoon Troupe. A Japanese acrobatic troupe visited Adelaide in 1871 but we know the present photo must have been taken of the 1875 Tycoon Troupe because Saul Solomon became manager of The Adelaide School of Photography in 1874. A review of the opening night performance at the Theatre Royal in Adelaide was published in an Adelaide newspapr on 4 March, 1875.
