Large Drawing of Ancient Japanese Battleship Hand-coloured and labelled
[Japan] Unusual, large illustration of an ancient battleship known as a mōdō, that appears to have been used for ramming other vessels. There were similar ships called mengchong in China that were used in the 2nd and 3rd centuries. Artist unknown.
Undated but late Edo era (c1850).
