The Wooden Bowl - Plain Paper Edition Told in English by Mrs. T.H. James
[Japan] Scarce edition on plain paper numbered 16 in Hasegawa's fairy tale series. For reasons unknown, number 16 was later replaced by the title, 'The Wonderful Tea Kettle'. Was it something to do with the artist of this book, Tosa Matabei? He doesn't seem to have produced art for any of Hasegawa's other publications so perhaps there was some problem, but this is speculation of course. We believe only one batch of The Wooden Bowl on plain paper was published.
