Mirror of Army and Navy Heroes Depicting Marshal-Admiral Count Itō Sukeyuki and camera
[Japan] An impressive woodblock print by Kobayashi Kiyochika (1847-1915) showing Imperial Japanese Navy admiral Ito Sukeyuki (1843-1914) with a subordinate and a camera on a tripod. Ito was highly respected due to his performance in the First Sino-Japanese War of 1894. Woodblock prints depicting cameras or photos are quite scarce.
