Club Araiko - Toilet Bath Powder Nine, large, woodblock printed advertisements
[Japan] A group of 9 identical, woodblock printed, single sheet ads for a brand of 'Toilet Bath Powder', named 'Club Araiko'. It is a facial wash powder first made in 1906 by the company Nakayama Taiyodo in Osaka and is still sold today. Printed in Japanese and English on very fine, thin Japanese paper in colour, these may have even been intended for use to wrap products sold by the company. Very scarce. Circa 1910.
Each approx. 35 x 35cm.
In good condition. Most with some creasing and minor tears at edges. A couple with minor loss at edges. nb35020006
