Cabinet Card Photo of Freemason J.T. Griffin Taken by Adolfo Farsari, Yokohama
[Japan] Believed to be a photo of John Thomas Griffin (1849-1916), who came to Japan aroun 1870 and worked in the silk industry. He was known to be a freemason and the photo has is inscribed on the rear, 'Fraternally yours, JTG. 1 Jan 1897.' Appears to have been given to A.R.G.Clark, who was the acting manager at the Medical Hall of North & Rae in Yokohama (according to the 1896 Yokohama Directory).
