Stunning Woodblock Printed Book of Views of Mount Fuji 12 large format prints by Hokusai
[Japan] Such a lovely book, this is a deluxe publication consisting of 12 large, oban-sized prints bound as a folding book (orihon) as issued. This edition with the English captions is very scarce and even more so in such nice condition. The Japanese title is, 'Zen Hokusai Fuji Shokei' [The Former Hokusai's Best Views of Mount Fuji]. Each print dated at far right edge with publishing info at far left edge. The English is in a beautiful font but has some grammatical issues. Housed in later custom made folding case.
