Dichtergrusse aus dem Osten Very scarce plain (hosho) paper edition
[Japan] by Karl Florenz. [Poetical Greetings of the Far East]. Although the crepe paper editions of this book were very popular and went through numerous editions, we believe there were very few printings of the plain paper edition in German on hosho paper. The Japanese colophon states '9th edition' but we believe this was just copied using a woodblock from the 9th edition of the crepe paper version. Presumably came in a slipcase but one is not present here. The photo with two books shows the hosho paper edition on the right and the crepe paper edition on the left. This listing is only for the hosho paper edition.

In very good condition throughout. Minor chips to top and bottom corners of covers. String ties look to have been replaced at some point. Internally very good with only minor age wear. Neat inscription at top of title page. b33070999
