New Approaches in Obstetrics by Kagawa Mansai
[Japan] Uncommon work with fascinating cover design. Titled, 'Sanka Shinshiki' in Japanese, the book looks at new methods in obstetrics and was edited by Kato Yasukage (or Neiin). Illustrated in colour with a double-page fold-out and some fold-ups. This is the first volume. A second volume was published 4 years later in 1881. Kyushu University and Doshisha University also only have volume 1. The National Diet Library has both volumes but their volume 1 is missing some of the illustrations.
