Dutch Military Manual published in Japan Scarce rangaku work

[Japan] Very scarce bakumatsu rangaku work titled, 'Algemeene voorschriften omtrent het tirailleren en het defileren der korpsen infanterie', which translates to, 'General regulations concerning the skirmishing and marching of the infantry corps.' The book was first published in Utrecht about 1830. The two fold-out pages with marching band music are present. There is an ownership stamp of Akita Sei'i (or Kiyoe) along with the town of Nirayama-cho, Zushu (Izu). Stated 9th edition but we believe this was the only edition of this book published in Japan.

Edo. Yamashiroya Sahei. 1857.

60pp+2 fold-out pages at rear. 18.3 x 12.6cm.

Overall in good condition. Covers worn but original title slip present with minor loss. Some minor worm trails affecting most pages and a little bit more towards the centre of the book. The two fold-out pages also have some worm trails. Still a good copy of a very scarce work.
