Views of Kyoto - with compliments of the Kyoto Hotel Illustrated and with numerous advertisements
Scarce guidebook to Kyoto with brief descriptions of the city and her temples. Filled with half-tone photographic illustrations and ads. Undated but a couple of ads refer to awards won at the 1900 World Expo in Paris. The ad for the tattoo artist S. Nakajima is especially interesting as it mentions he tattooed Prince Heinrich (Prince Henry of Prussia (1862–1929) who was a grandson of Queen Victoria). This would have been in 1899 on a visit to Japan.
