Bairei Gafu 3 vols. Birds and Insects Illustrated by Kono Bairei
[Japan] Nice trio of orihon woodblock printed books by Kono Bairei (1844-95), who was especially well known for his illustrations of birds. Although these three books are in a primitive folding case probably made by a former owner, two volumes are a matching pair and the other volume of insects (Konrui no bu) is from a later series, hence the different publication dates.

In good condition. Volume 1 is separated into two parts (easily repairable) and also has some minor worming inside the front cover and first few pages, and some minor staining.
