Fourth Edition, revised and enlarged by A. Farsari. This is the scarce first printing of the 4th edition (a 2nd printing was made in 1890).

In good condition. Minor edge and age wear. Title page with the faint small previous ownership stamp of George R. Brush M.D. U.S. Navy who was a surgeon & medical inspector, from 1861-1894. Brush has tipped in some photos, a very interesting little booklet from the Hafuya Hotel, a ticket, along with a few notations of travel and dates. Binding is a little weak. Some photos are pasted over a whole page but Brush has generally tipped the photos in and placed photos behind blank pages (the reverse side of maps). One small area of damage to one of the ads in the rear.
