Very nice promotional album made for Geo. H. Macy & Co. George Henry Macy (1858-1918) ran a tea importing business. The photo on the front cover is captioned at the lower edge, 'With Compliments of Geo. H. Macy & Co.' Decorative silk covered boards. No text or colophon page. Attributed to T. Tamamura of Kobe who was known to have made similar albums. The album shows the various tea operations of the company in Japan (Kobe & Yokohama), China (Shanghai, Hankow, Amoy & Taipeh [Taipei] Formosa [Taiwan]), Sri Lanka/Ceylon (Colombo) and India (Calcutta). It also includes a few general views of Japan.

In very good condition. The covers have some wear and minor fraying at edges. The photograph on the front cover has some age wear. Corners a little bumped. Inside front and back cover a little darkened. Internally very good. b32110766c
