Lovely Woodblock Printed Book of Birds and Animals by Kono Bairei with English contents page
Classic work by Kono Bairei (1844-95) with a nice selection of birds, fish and animals. The book was clearly marketed to also attract non-Japanese people with the English contents page. The title in Japanese is, 'Inaka no Tsuki'. Volume 1 (only) of 3 books.
