Scarce work that is almost certainly the first book on Hokusai's art published in English. This predates the first exhibition of Hokusai art held in Boston in 1893 by 13 years. Original marbled covers and two double page illustrations as issued.

In very good condition except for the front cover being detached. This is repairable at cost. Both covers with wear at edges and ffep with 2cm closed tear at bottom near spine. Internally very good.
