Floral Japan by Flora Sweet The scarcest of Akiyama's large format crepe paper books

[Japan] Also the largest crepe paper book published by Akiyama. Flora Sweet was a made-up name created probably by Akiyama. Seldom appears on the market. A smaller edition was also published (see final picture which shows the smaller version next to this larger edition). Such a lovely book. Printed by Sakai Torakichi.

Tokyo. Akiyama Aisaburo. 1896 (Japanese colophon states it was reprinted in 1896 so this may be a second printing done the same year as the first).

11 leaves (including covers). 26 x 20.7cm.

In very good condition with silk binding covers intact. Some minor wear to covers and cover edges. The usual waviness at edges too. Internally fine.
