CDV of Okiyo Nakayama early photo taken in Tokyo
[Japan]. Interesting CDV of a Japanese man named Okiyo Nakayama. With the blank white card behind him, one wonders if he was an artist. Or could it be the blank white area was for writing messages on when he gave such photos to friends or acquaintances? We have been unable to find any references to a man with that name. Okiyo (or Okyo?) may have been a pen name or artist name. Inscribed on the rear, 'Okiyo Nakayama. Tokei [Tokyo] 1872' and his name in katakana, 'ナカヤマ ヲキヨ'.
