Impressive and scarce view of part of the prostitute quarters in Tokyo [Japan]. Working ladies can be seen at each balcony for the length of the building. There are some more common views of the Yoshiwara area but this one is unusual. 'Une maison à Tokio (Yoshiwara)' is written neatly in French at the lower right on the mount.
