Large Format Photo of Iron Bridge at Yokohama (Yoshida-bashi) by Kusakabe Kimbei
Lovely, unmounted, hand-coloured albumen photo of the so called 'Iron Bridge' in Yokohama that was built by Richard Brunton in 1869. Some signs are readable, including 'Kirin Beer' and a few others in Japanese. The bridge was also known as 'Kane no hashi' and 'Yoshida-bashi'. Titled, '534 IRON BRIDGE AT YOKOHAMA' in negative.
