Album of Hand Drawn Japanese Designs for Kimono Large format
Large format, untitled album containing numerous hand-drawn designs on fine Japanese paper affixed to quite thick pages. Many have folding portions which appear to be optional design choices for clients who would have selected the desired designs from such an album. Most are hand coloured. Dated 1895 in the rear along with the ownership name Tomita Kahei and a Kyoto address.
50pp (incl. 2 blank pages at the end). 39 x 27 x 4.5cm.
Covers worn, edges chipped and corners bumped. Front cover detached (this can be repaired at cost of required). Internally mostly very good except for a few pages that have some browning and minor spotting.
