Notice sur L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Tokyo

 

Very scarce publication in French marked 'Not for sale' in rear that gives a comprehensive look at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts which was founded in 1887 and later merged with the Tokyo Music School in 1949 to become Tokyo University of the Arts. Okakura Kakuzo (Tenshin) was one of the founders. The first 30 pages give a history of the school along with the names of professors, the different faculties and other statistics. The remainder being 82 photographic illustrations of art including the 9 classroom scenes.

Front cover missing (though it is the same as the title page but on thicker paper and the same plain colour as the rear cover). Aside from this the book is in very good condition. Corners bumped but internally very good.
