Extremely scarce and unlikely survivor. Printed on very fine, delicate paper. We recently had the 1898 edition and that was rare, this even earlier (first?) edition is virtually unheard of.

Worn with chipping and minor loss to front and rear covers along with corners of first and last few pages. Some closed tears mostly towards the rear affecting about 20 pages. Some spotting and a few stray marks. Rear cover detached at upper silk binding tie.
