Superb large format albumen photo by Baron Raimund von Stillfried c.1873
Mislabelled 'Shimonoseki' but actually Nabeshima in Kagawa prefecture. The lighthouse is visible and it was completed in 1872.
Titled '340 Shimonoseki' at lower right in the negative (but should be 414 Nabae-shima).
Photo 28.5 x 22cm on board measuring 38.2 x 30.5cm.
In very good condition with beautiful, subtle hand colouring. Some minor wear.
